Here at MEIS, we are dedicated to helping you throughout your degree. While you are responsible for knowing the requirements for your degree, the Graduate Program Coordinator and the Program Director are all available to provide guidance throughout your time with us.

The Graduate Program Coordinator and Program Director will make sure you have up-to-date information about departmental and university policies, deadlines, and requirements.  For questions about course waivers, credit reductions, enrollment forms, or other administrative matters, please contact meis@gmu.edu.  Many of your questions can be answered by reviewing the worksheets and forms available on these pages, so please familiarize yourself with what is on here first.

Faculty Advising

You will be assigned a faculty advisor upon entering the program, based upon the area(s) of interest identified in your application.

Faculty advisors are available to assist you with questions about academic topics such as which courses to take, how to develop a timeline for thesis completion, and which area of study is best suited to your goals.

You should meet with your faculty advisor upon entering the program, and meet regularly if you are changing your Plan of Study or interests.
